ION's Innovative Conferencing Solutions Tap into Smartphone Technology
Entertainment and audio tech leader, ION just announced its new Bluetooth speaker system, Talking Point. The innovative system is a tabletop speaker that utilizes the user’s mobile phone as a conference phone.
Talking Point is an ideal conferencing solution, as it hosts a simple and easy setup, rather than requiring an entirely separate system for audio business meetings.
At the exhibit, those in the conference business will be able to get a first-hand look at the new technology, and see just how functional the product is.
“It’s a simple-yet-powerful product that’s very easy to use,” said ION’s product manager Wendy Fortin. According to Fortin, the piece “has one goal: crystal-clear calls.”
Clarity (News - Alert) is one aspect of conference calls that tends to cause problems, and Fortin insists Talking Point is a way to correct this issue, while making the process easy and adaptable to any business environment.
“Whether you’re at home and have your hands full preparing dinner, or you’re in the office jotting down notes during an important call, with Talking Point, you’ll hear and be heard loud and clear,” said Fortin.
With the Bluetooth Cordless Phone System, ION has created a first in the conferencing world: a home phone system focalized for the smartphone. With one base and three separate handsets, the smartphone connects directly with the base via Bluetooth while also receiving a charge. The handsets included then tap into the unique ability of the smartphone to use a DECT 6.0 connection.
The result is sharp sound, perfect for conducting business on a reliable and always-handy product like the smartphone. The Bluetooth Cordless Phone System works with the iPhone and Android (News - Alert) smartphones, as does Talking Point, and both systems are able to pick up on multiple voices from virtually any angle.
Talking Point specifically utilizes a large, top-facing speaker in conjunction with multiple built-in microphones to allow all-inclusive local range, and has one quirk: it’s shaped like a UFO.
