Vidtel and ZTE Collaborate on Affordable Video Conferencing Solution
Facing increased competition with free video conference service providers like Skype (News - Alert), Google talk and Cisco jabber, Vidtel and ZTE USA have signed a co-marketing agreement to bring Vidtel's cloud-based MeetMe video conferencing service to ZTE's (News - Alert) hardware and software-based endpoints, including the T800, T700 and T100.
The agreements spans three years.
ZTE USA is a subsidiary of ZTE Corporation, a global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions having shipped over 100,000 video conferencing endpoints to date. The company’s T700 model is a high-definition video conference terminal designed to meet the needs of enterprise-level customers.
Vidtel’s (News - Alert) cloud-based MeetMe video conferencing service is now available with ZTE products at Telcom & Data. The bundling gives ZTE USA resellers in North America a new cloud-based, turnkey solution for targeting the underserved small- and medium-sized enterprises (SME).
ZTE’s M900 offers the highest value conferencing platform in the industry at $195 per port. The combination of ZTE's exceptional hardware with and Vidtel's MeetMe video conference service offers sellers and their SME customers several benefits.
David Jackson, strategic accounts manager at TK6, was asked about the Vidtel and ZTE partnership: “ZTE and Vidtel have teamed up so that [SME] users can, from a cost, ease-of-use and interoperability standpoint, conduct effective video conferences.”
Under the three-year partnership with Vidtel, eight endpoints in a Vidtel meeting room have value of $10,000 and additional ports can be added at any time.
